Champions on Ice cast member, Rena Inoue will have her life documented on NHK TV Japan. 

 Inoue and her partner, John Baldwin will take viewers through their partnership as she moved from Japan to the United States to skate together.  Rena became a U.S. citizen in time to compete at the 2006 Olympic Games in Torino, where she and John made Olympic History becoming the first pairs team to land a throw-triple axel in competition.  Rena lost her father to cancer and she herself is a cancer survivor.  Inoue & Baldwin got engaged this year when Baldwin proposed on the ice at the 2006 U.S. National Championships. 

The feature is scheduled to air on NHK TV next fall.

Three-time U.S. National Champion and COI cast member, Johnny Weir earned his first ever World Medal at the 2008 World Championships.  

Weir, who is now coached by Galina Zmievskaya and fellow COI cast member Viktor Petrenko, has had a very successful season with his new coaching team winning two Grand Prix events and taking home the Bronze Medal from Worlds. 

"It has been a great season and I am so happy with the results.  I look forward touring this summer and hope to come back even stronger for next season." Weir said.

Olympic and world figure skating champions gathered in Ljubljana to give an outstanding performance for all romantic fans of the graceful sport.

On 6th February, a spectacular performance “Champions on Ice” was held in Hala Tivoli, Ljubljana as part of the Day of Culture holiday. Olympic and world champions including Evgeny Plushenko, Victor Petrenko, Oksana Baiul, Surya Bonaly, Oksana Kazakova, Artur Dmitrev, David Sanchez, Antonio Najarro and many others (26 altogether) offered a spectacular two-hour performance with a presentation of power, skill, elegance and perfection. In the performance, skaters and the ‘skate chorus’ became actors; with a special choreography, all the performers narrated a special love story.
